12th May was a great day in MK for korfing events. First of all in the morning, we hosted the English Korfball Associationl strategy forum and saw organisers and coaches from all over the country descend on MK to hear about the EKA strategy and latest developments to the coaching framework.

The league deciding Division 1 match yesterday (April 1st) between Roos and Rogues was unfortunately postponed on the day due to a double-booking issue with the hall. A new date for the match will be set ASAP.
In other action, Birmingham 2 beat Roos 3 9-2 in Division 2, but the title is still a three-horse race between Birmingham 2, Rogues 2 and Colossus

The 2012 SMKA Cup final will be between Rogues and Roos after both teams overcame handicaps to win their semi-finals yesterday (25th March)
Rogues edged a very close semi-final 10-9 against MKX in the first match, in a nail-biting finish after MKX pulled back to within one goal with only a few minutes left. Roos were more comfortable against Oaks, winning 11-7.

The new korfball season is nearly upon. We have had a great summer with training in fine weather at Emerson Valley Sports Pavilion and the half a year's worth of rain falling on Korfstock (oh well all 40 teams still showed up). We also played in tournaments at Leicester, Nomads and Oxford, had demo matches at the Brook End Basketball tournament.
