Donate to MKX and Double your Money for the club!

We hope you will be able to follow this link MKX - Local Giving and make a donation to support MKX, our youth korfball programme.
Local Giving is a safe and secure way of supporting MKX.
MKX introduces children and young people to korfball and then helps them develop their skills; improve their fitness; make new friends; and have lots of fun while staying safe.

Did you know that in 2012 we:
- delivered korfball in more than 30 schools to over 5,000 children and young people
- ran clubs for Under 9s, Under 11s, Under 13s, Under 16s and for older teenagers and now have nearly 60 club members
- ran 20 community-based sessions at festivals and fetes
- trained 32 coaches to Level 1 and one coach to Level 2 including 12 teachers and 10 teenage players
- ran summer term schools tournaments for 20 teams
- ran summer holiday sessions with England international players
- set up a schools league for Under 11s
- competed at National tournaments at all age groups including winning a trophy
- won the Harrow tournament at U11 level

Korfball is unique in being a mixed-sex sport where boys and girls have an equal role. It is competitive but to be successful teams must collaborate more than any other team ball sport.
Our membership profile shows young players with great natural ability (we have supported boys and girls into England squads) and also young people that to date have not found a sport to embrace. They have now.
Milton Keynes City also runs 9 teams in our local league for adults and ran the country's largest community tournament last summer.
But we need your help to keep this going and then to do more for the young people of Milton Keynes.
We need to raise £10,000 to see us through to the summer. In continuing to grow we become more sustainable as more members means more fees and more opportunity to engage with more schools and young people.  We train teachers and young leaders to deliver korfball independently, helping the sport to grow.   Please can you help.
For the next two weeks every £1 donated to MKX through Local Giving is doubled up to a maximum of £2,500. If we can get to that figure we will have £5,000 - half of what we need to run until the summer.
If you don't want a relative or friend to send you socks or an ill fitting jumper this Christmas then please send this email on and ask them to make a donation on your behalf.
