The Roos first team are newly promoted to South Midlands Division 1 and will be led once again by the experienced Victoria Lockwood whose captaincy skills can be summed up in the word 'Haribo'. [I have no idea what this means!]
The Roos has a second team playing in South Midlands Division 2 nicknamed Wallabies. This team is led by the fast as lightning Nick Washington, an athlete at Milton Keynes AC.
The club includes some dutch talent with Pieter Veenstra and was actually named in honour of its first coach, Andrew Speck, an australian korfball international.
This strong squad has been strengthened with Joe Palmer and Clive Ellis moving from Colossus and the return of Ruth McLean from Lincolnshire. These players will be competing alongside last seasons first teamers Emma Cash, Nicki Studman, Victoria Sloyan, Alan Campbell, Stuart Ledingham and the highly experienced Mark Pemberton.
The squad includes netballers, including Leanne Hassan, Kerry Smith and Kylie Johnson, footballers including Lee Wells, and American footballers including Tim Bohknecht who love korfball as a complimentary and sociable sport.
